Lately, our lives have been very tense.  We recently moved.  But, the impact of the move was outrageous. I made my first laundry soap over Thanksgiving weekend.  I must say, I can't believe its taken me so long to try it!  It was so easy!!!  The soap smells nice, has a thin pudding-like consistency and rinses clean even in cold water.  The recipe is below. 1/2 c. Our first camping trip as a family.  Jordan had a great time.  It was only one day and we were in a campground with very nice facilities, but it was outdoors, the sun was shining.  There was no cell phones, no computers, no TV!  What more could I ask for?  Ahhh...    (Frustrated at the date on the camera, since it wasn't correct.  It was actually 4/04.  Oh well...)

Well... we got snow and then we didn't. Its pretty and white on the grass.  Some of the side streets are still covered and because its so cold, it won't be melting right away, but, its not been a good snow.  There hasn't been much more than a dusting, honestly.  And its that dry type of snow.  Not good for making a snow ball.  But Jordan had fun anyway.  We played tic-tac-toe on the sidewalk.

Why was the headcovering only mentioned in 1 Corinthians? Why not elsewhere in the scriptures?  Perhaps this is because no one else was arguing the point?  Paul urges the Corinthian family to take a look even at nature.  Nature itself shows that a woman has a covering, because she is man’s glory, so even more so wouldn’t it seem correct to do as Paul has said and wear a veil on her head to cover

My "adopted" mom makes unleavened bread from scratch when its her go around at church to prepare communion.  Thought I'd share her recipe. 1 cup whole wheat flour  1/2 cup olive oil  1 cup water Mix the oil and flour first.  Whisk in the water.  Yes... the mixture will be runny.  Its okay!  Pour onto a baking sheet (the type with the 1/4" rim).  Bake at 550 degrees for about 6 to 7 minutes.

I guess the first question should really be, are symbols in the Bible important?  Should we use both the literal interpretation of a symbol and its typology?Take a look at 1 Corinthians 11, starting in verse 17, Paul talks about the communion.  Is the bread and the wine, the symbol of Christ’s body and blood, important?  Could we replace the bread and wine with chips and soda and it be the same?

Okay... I've drawn a blank. This has been happening alot lately . I've got lots of things I want to post and even attempted several subjects, but the words just aren't developing on the screen in the exact right combinations to satisfy me, so I've scrapped them again and again.I'm here. Okay... its been a couple of weeks of using the baking soda/vinegar combo on my hair. The first thing I noticed was I wasn't going to be able to use the cider vinegar as a rinse. It leaves my hair greasy and stringy. And I felt like I was pickled all day.
